During the past three weeks, I have been able to observe and document the interesting and bizarre technological experiences I encountered in daily life. Many of these technological experiences and online observations occurred in my typical daily routine, and many dealt with spontaneous updates of society that were done via a mobile device. This past week I experienced how technology innovations can save the day, and how they are vital to keep a society running smoothly. Overall, my initial hypothesis was correct on the demographics of users of these high tech innovations and online events.
Initially, I assumed it is "my" generation making up the demographic for online mobile users. Through my observations, I am correct in stating that a majority of individuals ages 15-35 maintain online accounts on social networking sites, and update them regularly, using technology to their advantage to connect with each other unlike in decades past. This phenomenon has created a new generation of online marketing targeted not at the elderly but at college/high school, and younger adults as they make up the majority of those online connecting mobile regularly.
It is interesting to note that there is a growing trend among educating older adults and even little children in using technology to keep in touch. Now younger and younger children as little as 6-8 yrs of age are online using social networking sites, and older adults as well are crawling their way in to connect. what is most interesting is when all these generations clash together, what benefits can be made to society when all generations are on the same level of technological communication?

Viral Video
I was just watching CNN, and saw a viral video of a person who ran over another car in a parking lot, and because the video was made public and viral, that individual came forward and paid the damages he incurred. Therefore some good can come out of a tech. viral world!

Mobile Technology
today, I am in a hotel for a swim meet, and while waiting to leave, I was on my ipod touch streaming US Swimming nationals through the hotels wi-fi, and was able to leave comments while watching. The ustream also stated that there were 8,234 people live streaming just like I was, many of whom I assume are age group to college swimmers like myself!

Technology against crime
tonight on CNN, a news report came on about how the technology in a car was able to locate the thief. The story involved a Senators Daughter who was car jacked, and the Onstar system allowed police to locate the car and arrest the robber....Technology saved the day!
My Swim Clubs Website
I coach a USA club team: Grosse Pointe Gators, and at our Holiday Banquet yesterday, heavy discussion was given to the clubs online website. Issues of versatility, image and usefulness were discussed, and now the site serves as an advertisement for the club as well as for the respective sponsors.
