Following response I made via Wiki:
The Protest that occurred on Monday November 23, 2009 was a great movement for the university and student body. Two years ago I was forced to take the ACT and MME, both exams required missing class and high anxiety was presented to students by our high school faculty. I had met the requirements for receiving the Michigan Promise Scholarship with the intention that I would receive 1,000 dollars for all four years if I attended a University inside of Michigan. I figured this was great; another 4,000 to add to my other scholarships would be great. This school year I discovered I would not receive any of this money, and was incredibly disappointed. Luckily I can still afford to attend this University through other scholarships and a job, but that 4,000 would take me around 400 hours to make, time I could use: studying, volunteering, spending time with my family, and relaxing from the chaos in my life. The protest that occurred on Warren Ave displayed to our Michigan Congress that the Student body cares a great deal that they decided we would not receive our “promise” scholarship. The protest featured student speakers and the media (WXYZ). At the protest, students received a t-shirt and a poster to show that the student body is unified in their thoughts. The picture below was taken on my phone of Dave LewAllen of the WXYZ action team interviewing a faculty member on what is going on and his thoughts about the scholarship.

I bring this up, because Technology was used to communicate the protest: Email, online advertisements, and the media was involved in capturing the event along with the print Media: Detroit News, which I read Online:
